THIS is the bizarre moment Ed Miliband performs every role in a recreation of A-ha's classic pop hit Take On Me - believed to be one of his favourite songs.

The former Labour leader is seen playing the role of lead singer, keyboard player, guitarist, backing vocals, drummer and even harpist.

At the end of the clip, he jokes: "For f**** sake, talk about a mid-life crisis."

Mr Miliband, who led the Labour party until resigning after the 2015 election defeat, took part in the skit during an appearance on Channel 4's The Last Leg.

He also recreated the infamous bacon sandwich incident, but this time wearing sunglasses and a leather jacket while on a motorbike.

The song was presumably chosen for the MP to perform after he named it among one of his favourite songs when he appeared on Radio 4's Desert Island Discs.

Discussing the song in 2013, he told the programme that A-ha "will always be adolescence to me - school discos, white jeans and trying to meet the right girl".

Despite his disastrous reign as leader of the Labour party, Mr Miliband remains a popular figure on social media.

Last week, he was spotted on the tube and posed for pictures with members of the "Milifandom" movement.
