Parents in court for ‘murder’ of baby daughter – as dad also accused of possessing 100 child sex images

A MUM and dad have appeared in court charged with murdering their 13-month-old baby daughter.

Isabella Stasiak died after suffering a cardiac arrest at the family home in the New Bilton area of Rugby, in Warwickshire.

Kinga Wydrzynska, 24, and partner Michal Stasiak, 26, appeared at Coventry Magistrates' Court today charged with murder.

Stasiak faces three additional charges of possessing indecent images of children between October 26, 2022 and January 7, 2025.

The alleged material includes 63 under the most serious Category A, 23 Category B images and 14 classified as Category C.

Wydrzynska and Stasiak, who are also charged with causing or allowing the death of a child, spoke only to confirm their identities.

The pair were remanded into custody ahead of a hearing at Warwick Crown Court on Monday.

Applications for reporting restrictions preventing the identification of the parents and their baby that were submitted by the Crown Prosecution Service were rejected.

Police were scrambled to the home at 4.37am on Tuesday following reports Isabella was in cardiac arrest.

The baby was rushed to hospital but tragically couldn't be saved and was declared dead shortly after.

Warwickshire Police said: "A 26-year-old man and 24-year-old woman from Rugby have both been charged with murder and causing or allowing the death of a child.

"The man has also been charged with possession of indecent images."
