A CHILLING video has depicted the moment synthetic drug Spice allegedly turned three men into the “walking dead” on the streets of Manchester.
The harrowing clip, shot in the city’s Northern Quarter, appears to show the devastating effects of the synthetic drug.
Three men trembling in various poses appear to be stock frozen in a catatonic state, apparently under the influence of the drug in the video.
The victims each seem to be paralysed in place – with one standing, another bent over onto himself and the third appearing to squat down.
According to the , an extra-strong batch of the synthetic drug, which emerged in February, is behind the Spice epidemic.
Speaking to the publication, youth charity Lifeshare said Spice is responsible for an increase in ambulance call-outs.
Spokesperson Julie Boyle said it is turning large numbers of Mancunians into the “walking dead”.
The charity estimates around 95 per cent of young homeless people use the drug, which was outlawed in April last year.
It is now being dealt on the streets instead of being bought in shops.
Police have also warned of the “chaos” being caused by the drug, and told the Manchester Evening News they were called to help 11 collapsed Spice users in eight hours in the city centre on Friday alone.
