Kirsty Carless - also called Kirsty Cribb - 33, has been charged with his murder.

Louis' parents were told of his death while they were abroad on a dream getaway before dashing back home, locals have claimed.

A post mortem has taken place but police are not divulging the cause of his death saying it will be a "matter for an inquest in due course".

A neighbour on Elm Road told The Sun: "The young man who died was a lovely lad. He lived with his dad, who is a a builder, and his step mum, who worked at a local care home.

"They kept themselves to themselves, and were a decent, hard working family.

"Louis had a baby daughter who he loved to bits."

She added: "He lived here with his parents and his girlfriend lived in Cannock but used to come over a lot.

"I have lived here for six years and they have been here beyond that."

Family members, in a state of visible distress and hugging one another, visited the scene on Boxing Day.

The victims’ parents, who returned from holiday, are believed to have been among the group but were too upset to say anything,

One young woman relative said: "It is too raw, we can’t talk, we need to be left alone please."

Another local said: "There are very nice neighbours and what has happened is very sad, and at Christmas, a time for family to be coming together.
