Dad-of-six ‘murdered by lover on Xmas Day’ had new baby as distraught parents told of death while on holiday
A DAD-OF-SIX who was allegedly murdered by his lover on Christmas Day had a new baby daughter - and his parents were told of the tragedy on holiday.
Louis Price, 31, died at his home in the Staffordshire town of Norton Canes in the early hours of Wednesday (December 25).
Kirsty Carless - also called Kirsty Cribb - 33, has been charged with his murder.
Louis' parents were told of his death while they were abroad on a dream getaway before dashing back home, locals have claimed.
A post mortem has taken place but police are not divulging the cause of his death saying it will be a "matter for an inquest in due course".
A neighbour on Elm Road told The Sun: "The young man who died was a lovely lad. He lived with his dad, who is a a builder, and his step mum, who worked at a local care home.

"They kept themselves to themselves, and were a decent, hard working family.
"Louis had a baby daughter who he loved to bits."
She added: "He lived here with his parents and his girlfriend lived in Cannock but used to come over a lot.
"I have lived here for six years and they have been here beyond that."
Family members, in a state of visible distress and hugging one another, visited the scene on Boxing Day.
The victims’ parents, who returned from holiday, are believed to have been among the group but were too upset to say anything,
One young woman relative said: "It is too raw, we can’t talk, we need to be left alone please."
Another local said: "There are very nice neighbours and what has happened is very sad, and at Christmas, a time for family to be coming together.
"I didn't know what was going on but it sounded serious, I looked outside and the emergency services were everywhere."
She went on to say she understood Louis lived at the property with his parents, but they were away in the Maldives for Christmas.
Cops had scrambled to reports of a man suffering cardiac arrest at the home at around 3.25am on Wednesday.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, Louis died at the scene a short time later.
Carless was arrested at the property before appearing at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Saturday.
She was remanded in custody yesterday.
Staffordshire Police has referred itself to the IOPC watchdog "due to recent police contact", and there will be an inquest.
In a tribute, Louis' family said: "Louis was well-loved by his family and closest friends.
"He was a well-known member of the community, always had a smile on his face and brought a positive energy to anywhere he went.
"He always had time for anyone and would help anyone he could.
"Louis was a devoted fisherman, he had a passion for fishing and regularly went away on trips with friends and family.
"He loved football, he played for a team and was a life-long supporter of Aston Villa.
"As a family we are devastated at losing Louis. Life will never be the same without him."
The family added: "He leaves a huge hole in the lives of everyone who knew him.
"Christmas is a time we have always spent together as a family, to lose Louis at this time is even harder.
"Louis leaves behind his Mum, Dad, Brother and Sister, along with his six children.
