Princess Diana’s rock Paul Burrell marries boyfriend in £30,000 civil partnership ceremony just a month after coming out as gay

PAUL Burrell beams in a kilt as he weds his boyfriend.
The ex-royal butler, who Princess Di described as her “rock”, tied the knot just weeks after coming out as gay in The Sun.
The divorced dad’s sons Alex, 32, and Nick, 28, were among 60 guests who saw him get hitched to lawyer Graham Cooper, 58, who wore trousers in the same tartan — designed by Burrell himself.
Barbra Streisand’s Some Enchanted Evening was played as the happy couple, neither of whom are Scottish, walked up the aisle hand in hand.
The £30,000 civil partnership ceremony in the Lake District was held at the Linthwaite Hotel in Bowness, Cumbria.
After taking their vows the pair danced back down the aisle to the sound of Kylie Minogue’s Better the Devil You Know.
Burrell, 57, who divorced wife Maria last year, said: “I’m able to stand proudly beside my husband and say, ‘This is who I am’.”
He told how the red in the tartan was for Di, the gold for the Queen — while the green represented the jungle after his stint on ITV’s I’m a Celeb.
