JK Rowling attacks TV game show host who branded Women’s March supporters ‘a bunch of vagina hats’
Chuck Woolery's tweet in February referred to the marchers who donned pink beanies at the Washington march
HARRY Potter author JK Rowling has taken to social media to hit back at US game show host who stated supporters of the Women's March wore "vagina hats".
Chuck Woolery's tweet in February referred to the marchers who donned pink beanies on the January 21 march in Washington.
Woolery said: "Women get vagina hats, but if men wore penis hats, they'd attack us and be outraged."
Despite being tweeted last month, Rowling posted a screenshot of the tweet with the message: "Every man who feels this way should wear his penis hat with pride."

Her fans were left amused by her comments with one stating "You rock" with others saying her words had made them chuckle.
It is not the first time the 51-year-old has used social media to express her opinion.
In February, Rowling hit back at fellow Twitter users who threatened to burn her books and DVDs over her outspoken political views on US President Donald Trump.
Rather than let their angry outbursts go unanswered, the author has been responding with often sassy retorts.
Recently one former fan wrote: “Just burned all my Harry Potter books after being a fan for 17 years. The Phils. Stone was one of the first books I EVER read. I’m upset it has to be that way… You embarrassed me, disgusted me, and I will never read your work again.”
Rowling, who is worth an estimate £790million, wasn’t fazed however and came up with a much more cutting reply.
She replied: “Guess it’s true what they say: you can lead a girl to books about the rise and fall of an autocrat, but you still can’t make her think.”
The day before, another former fan said he planned to “burn all your books and movies too”.
In response the Harry Potter writer quipped: “Well, the fumes from the DVDs might be toxic and I’ve still got your money, so by all means borrow my lighter.”
