Starmer plotting to ‘bend the knee’ to EU & ‘let foreign judges make our laws again’, blasts Kemi

SIR Keir Starmer is plotting to “bend the knee” and throw Britain back into Brexit chaos, Kemi Badenoch has warned.

The PM’s moves to reset our relationship with Brussels will “let foreign judges make our laws again”, the Tory leader claims.

Leaked documents reveal the EU wants more UK fishing rights, free movement for under-30s, and a return to European Court of Justice rule in exchange for softer goods checks and a security pact.

But Ms Badenoch told The Sun: “It’s outrageous that Labour want to restart the Brexit wars.”

She pointed to Labour agreeing to inflation-busting pay deals for striking workers and giving away the Chagos Islands.

She added: “Now Keir Starmer is preparing to bend the knee to Brussels. When Labour negotiate, the UK loses. I won’t let them get away with it.”

The PM this week told The Sun that Britain will not rejoin the EU or re-enter the single market and customs union.

But he added: “Within that we do want to reset. I want to make sure we get a better deal for people, for your readers, so they feel better off, they get better services.”

Talks on a trade and co-operation treaty are expected to begin in the spring.

Yesterday, Ms Badenoch savaged Sir Keir at the last PMQs of 2024 saying: “The economy is shrinking, inflation is up, jobs are being lost and pensioners won’t be able to heat homes.

“Labour raised people’s hopes, then smashed them with broken promises, and now we learn he is about to give away our hard-won Brexit freedoms.

“They are punching the British people in the face.”
