M25 closed for 6 HOURS after horror 3-car crash near M11 junction left man, 68, dead and 2 others injured
THE M25 was closed for six hours after a horror three-car crash which left one man dead and two others injured.
The smash happened near junction 27 in Essex at just after 11am on Monday, leading to major disruption in both directions.
A 68-year-old man was treated by paramedics before being pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other patients were taken to hospital.
National Highways confirmed on X Monday evening that all lanes have now reopened on the M25 anti-clockwise between junction 28 (Brentwood) and junction 27 (Epping).
It added: "There is still approximately 2.5 miles of congestion on approach."

Ambulance services were called at 11.07am to reports of the crash.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson previously said: “We sent resources to the scene, including a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer.
"The incident is ongoing and we are currently at the scene with our emergency services partners.”
Essex Police are appealing to speak to anyone who has dashcam footage that will help with the investigation.
