Steven Gerrard and Ryan Giggs’ restaurants both given shocking scores for hygiene
Football legends left embarrassed after their two restaurants both receive low ratings from council inspectors
TWO restaurants owned by Premier League footie legends have been given shocking scores for hygiene.
Former England ace Steven Gerrard’s establishment was rated zero out of five by council inspectors.
Meanwhile one opened by former Man United winger Ryan Giggs — George’s in Worsley, Gtr Manchester — was marked two out of five.
Both restaurants were told to clean up their acts.
The Food Standards Agency yesterday confirmed the rating at Liverpool hero Gerrard’s diner in the city — The Vincent — was so bad it meant “urgent improvements must be made”.
A spokesman said: “If food is not safe to eat the food safety officer must take action to make sure people are protected.”

The Sun could not see one at The Vincent despite the inspection by Liverpool Council having taken place in December.
That was the same month Giggs’s restaurant was inspected by Salford Council.
The restaurant was told to improve cleanliness and food temperature control.
Five days later the problems were found to have been fixed.
The council said it was still waiting for an application for a “re-rating visit”.
