A £300K luxury sports car was sheered completely in half when it smashed into a tree, killing both people inside.

Cristobal Flores Espino, 29, and Robert Leroy Rocha, 31, died when the McLaren 570S Coupé collided with a sedan and hurtled into a tree in Texas on Monday.

Horror footage shows the aftermath of the fatal accident which happened just after 3pm near the intersection of Abrams Road and Royal Lane in the Lake Highlands area, northwest Dallas.

It is unclear what caused the initial collision but this striking video shows the black hypercar, which can reach speeds of more than 200mph, split cleanly into two halves.

The mangled front end is wrapped around a tree whilst the back end came to rest 30 feet down the road after the high-speed collision.

A woman who had been driving the sedan, a gold Toyota Corolla, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to police.

Her car also struck a tree sustained major crumple damage to the front end.

Police and investigators were at the scene and say the investigation is ongoing.

570S Coupé models are powered by 3.8l twin-turbocharged V8 engines.

The powerful automobiles can reach 62mph in just 3.2 seconds.

They were designed and built in the UK by McLaren from 2015 to 2021.

Used models can sell for well over £100,000.

This deadly smash came just a month after a YouTuber and popular street racer died at 25 after crashing his BMW in front of a horrified crowd during a drag race.

The influencer 1Stockf30 was killed in November when his 2024 BMW X5 smashed into an Acura on a highway in Queens, New York.

The social media personality, real name Andre Beadle, was killed in the crash whilst his passenger, 21, was injured but survived.

The Acura driver was unharmed and remained on scene after being hit.

Beadle is a Bronx native who gained hundreds of thousands of followers for sharing videos of himself hitting top speeds in his purple BMW.

The fatal crash was captured in heart-stopping videos of a one-on-one highway race.

In the video, Beadle's BMW could be seen shooting into the distance at the start of the race, but a plume of smoke billowed out just a few seconds after he shot off.

The clip cut to harrowing footage of the crash scene, with piles of debris scattered around the street.

His last Instagram post was a picture of his car with the caption, "The streets say they miss me!"

Friends and followers of the YouTuber said goodbye in the comments and shared their devastation over the tragedy
