THE felon who leapt at a judge during his trial has been sentenced to at least 26 years behind bars over the bizarre attack.
Deobra Delone Redden, 31, charged at Judge Mary Kay Holthus, 62, when he appeared in court for an attempted battery case in January.
The video of Redden lunging at Judge Holthus quickly went viral as he was dubbed the "flying felon".
He was then sentenced on Tuesday by Judge Susan Johnson after facing seven charges and pleading guilty to all but one.
Redden had pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to attempted murder of a victim 60 years of age or older.
Judge Johnson said: "I am judging you guilty but mentally ill of committing the following crimes.

"Count one attempted murder victims 60 years of age or older, a category B felony."
She said his act went beyond an attack on Judge Holthus as "an attack on the judiciary".
A live feed of the sentencing appeared to show a court official saying "We have 26 years to 65 years aggregate," according to local CBS affiliate and .
This was calculated by adding up different sentences for the various charges Redden faced - ranging from two to 16 years.

The judge denied Redden's attorney's suggestion to serve a concurrent prison sentence.
He was also ordered to pay $61,318.41 in "restitution to the victim".
The convict was serving time in prison for his attempted battery charge which he had seen Judge Holthus for.
With credit for time already served, the 31-year-old would be eligible for parole in the 2050s.
Redden pleaded to the court on Tuesday that he was "not a bad guy, not an evil person".
He said: “I don’t understand why the state is really going after my character.
"I mean I've always had problems since I was a little kid."
Redden had pleaded guilty but mentally ill to attempted murder charges in September, which the judge accepted.
Judge Johnson disputed how much this had impacted him.
She said there was: "No doubt from these doctors that you knew the difference between right and wrong."
SHOCK ATTACK
Redden was seen leaping a court bench and at Judge Holthus before getting into a brawl with Clark County District Court officials.
In the viral video, Redden could be heard saying, "Nah, f*** that, b****", before attacking her.
Court officials and security lept to restrain Redden as the convict fought back.

Judge Holthus received minor injuries and returned to work the next day after receiving medical treatment.
Redden was not handcuffed on his January 3 court appearance but was heavily guarded with shackles, orange mitts, and a full-face spit hood on a second appearance five days later.
