Cop working in same unit as evil killer Wayne Couzens has been arrested for ‘flashing woman outside a Co-Op’
AN officer working on the same police unit as Wayne Couzens has been arrested on suspicion of flashing.
The alleged offence is the same as that committed by Couzens before he raped and murdered Sarah Everard in 2021.
In the latest case, the Met officer, in his 40s, is said to have committed a sex act in front of a woman outside a Co-op in Manningtree, Essex, while off-duty on July 23.
He has been suspended from the Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection unit.
A source said: “There is still great shame about what Couzens did.
"It’s sickening that another officer in the unit has been arrested.’’

The woman says she reported the off-duty officer to Co-op bosses.
When she heard nothing further, she returned to the store and CCTV was allegedly retrieved showing the officer and his vehicle in the car park.
The alleged incident was reported to Essex Police on August 28 and the officer arrested two days later.
He has been released on bail until December 27 pending a decision on whether to charge him.

The arrest triggered alarm bells in the Met following the Couzens case.
His former PaDP unit was branded a “dark corner” of the Met in the Casey review commissioned after marketing executive Sarah’s murder.
Couzens was given a whole life sentence in 2021.
And in March last year he received a further 19 months for three flashing offences between November 2020 and February 2021.
On the first occasion, he exposed himself to a cyclist in his home town of Deal, Kent.
He later exposed himself twice to staff at McDonald’s in Swanley.
The second incident occurred four days before he abducted Sarah, 33.
