Girl, 16, charged with murder of homeless man, 51, who was attacked near King’s Cross station
Victim was sheltering in a shed when he was assaulted, police said
A SCHOOLGIRL has been charged with murdering a homeless man who was attacked as he sheltered in a shed.
Anthony Marks, 51, died after the assault near King’s Cross station in London in August.
Police have today charged a 16-year-old girl with murder following the horror.
The teen, who can’t be named, is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court later today.
A 17-year-old boy was previously charged with murder and is due to face trial next year.
The horror unfolded on August 10 as Anthony sheltered in a bin shed near the major London station.
Scotland Yard confirmed he died after he was assaulted in Cromer Street.
Officers are now trying to hunt down Anthony’s family following the tragedy.
A spokesperson said: “Officers remain keen to hear from any witnesses who have not yet spoken to them, as well as any of Anthony’s next of kin, who so far remain unidentified.
