Girl, 14, found safe and well after she went missing with ‘unknown teenage male’ in Storm Bert
A 14-YEAR-OLD girl who went missing in Storm Bert has been found safe and well after cops launched a desperate search.
Police said the girl had disappeared with an unknown teenage boy earlier today on Sunday as Storm Burt wreaked havoc across the UK.
But cops have now confirmed she has been safely found and thanked everyone for their help.
Police had earlier issued a public appeal saying they were concerned about her disappearance.
In West Yorkshire, there are nearly a dozen flood warnings in place as Storm Bert continues to spark major disruption today.
Met Office yellow weather warnings for rain and wind covering large swathes of the country are also in place.
Today there is a yellow weather warning for wind covering the Scottish Highlands from midday until midnight.
A Yellow weather warning for wind is also in place from 11am this morning until 6pm across the whole of Northern Ireland.
In south east England, the same alert is in place from 8am until 9pm, and along the whole of the coastline until 9pm.
There is also a yellow weather warning for rain covering south Wales from 6am until 1pm.
