HUMAN remains have been found inside a village barn destroyed by a huge blaze.

Firefighters found the remains after scrambling to the burning barn in the Warwickshire village of Atherstone at around 8pm yesterday.

The remains have not been identified and cops are now probing the grim discovery.

The cause of the fire is not currently being treated as suspicious, Warwickshire Police said:

Anyone with information which could help cops should get in touch citing incident 316 of November 19.

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters from Polesworth and Atherstone put out a fire in a garage next to a property in Delves Crescent, Wood End this morning."
