THE SUN on Sunday’s Scarlet Howes has been named National Journalist Of The Year for her agenda-setting scoops.
Our Chief Sunday Reporter won the top gong at the Media Freedom Awards organised by the Society of Editors.
Judges commended her exclusive story on the BBC sacking Strictly’s Graziano Di Prima over clashes with dance partner Zara McDermott.
He denies any wrongdoing.
Scarlet was also recognised for her tireless probe into newsreader Huw Edwards, who paid a vulnerable young man for sexual images.
The Edwards saga also won her Investigation Of The Year.

She said: “I’m so proud that the importance of the Huw story has been recognised.
