THE View will consider a reunion with President-elect Donald Trump and beg him to come on the show, according to reports.
The top-ranked daytime talk show is working behind the scenes to shift gears as it prepares for an incoming administration on January 20, 2025, which includes inviting more supporters of the president-elect to the table, along with Trump himself.
, who had been a frequent guest on prior to ascending to the presidency, appeared on the show 17 times before he ran for president in 2015.
He also appeared one last time during the campaign.
Trump has not appeared on the program since he won in 2016, and The View has since taken a staunchly anti-Trump narrative.
Now, with an impending second Trump term, ABC News is considering changing course on its popular daytime talk show, which has received backlash from conservatives for its "radical liberal" approach.
During the 2024 election cycle, Vice President Kamala Harris appeared on the show and was praised by all six panelists who supported her campaign, including Republicans and Alyssa Farah Griffin.
But, after Trump's dominating and commanding election victory, The View will now look to reunite with the president-elect by inviting him on the show as soon as his communications team is in place, a source with knowledge of the show's decisions told .
"They do need to message to the American people," the source told the outlet.
"We have a huge audience, the biggest in daytime television, and we have a politically engaged audience that's not reached by cable news.
"We'll have pro-Trump voices on as guests throughout the administration."
The source disclosed to The Daily Beast that the invitation will be extended to Trump cabinet members and his running mate, Vice President-elect .
The also reported that ABC News brass are in "panic mode" and are hunting for a conservative voice to join the table as a panelist.
ABC News did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
"Everyone on The View endorsed Kamala Harris. They lost. They are out of touch with America," the source told The New York Post.
"For a show about different perspectives, The View doesn't seem to have any when it comes to Trump.
"ABC bosses don't want to alienate the pro-Trump demographic."
There's been no love lost between Trump and The View co-hosts since he first took office in 2016.
has refused to say Trump's name on the air since his 2016 victory.
"He's now the president. I'm still not going to say his name. That's not going to change," Goldberg said on the show a day after Election Day.
has gone as far as to blame "uneducated white women" for Harris' election defeat.
"I think [Trump's victory] had nothing to do with policy, I think this was a referendum on cultural resentment in this country," Hostin said.
"Black women tried to save this country again last night. What we do not have is white women, who voted about 52% for Donald Trump.
"Uneducated white women is my understanding. You have Latino men, actually, voting for him."
In a Truth Social post in October, Trump called The View hosts "degenerates."
Trump also publicly labeled Goldberg "demented" and Hostin "one dumb woman" during a campaign rally.
