Paedo cop switched off bodycam while on 999 call to sexually assault young girl & kept children’s underwear at his home
A PAEDO cop who switched off his bodycam while on a 999 call so he could sexually assault a young girl has been jailed.
Dean Dempster was called to reports of "screaming and shouting" at a home in Oldham when he preyed on the victim, who was under 10.
The 35-year-old turned off his bodycam then carried out a sickening attack before taking a picture of the abuse on his mobile.
His brave victim later told a family member what happened, saying: "He did this to me - I'm not lying."
Greater Manchester Police launched an investigation and discovered their PC had a "sexual interest in children".
Before starting his shift that day, the predator had made vile web searches for babies and "little girls on the beach".

Officers raided his home and found folded children's knickers, shredded underwear, sex toys and two hard drives.
There was also a safe inside the home that contained an iPad but the contents of Dempster's phone had been wiped.
In total, police uncovered nearly 3,000 child abuse images on his devices, including 104 of the most serious 'category A' type.
Some of these contained "pseudo-images", where Dempster had superimposed his head into graphic child sex pictures.

Liverpool Crown Court heard Dempster had been put on restricted duties after the complaint was made by the young victim.
His inspector became suspicious when the cop made an "unsolicited comment" about the girl pulling her pants down when asked to lift her top to check for bruising.
The girl told police Dempster groped her and left her "shaking" in fear.
He has now been handed an extended 14-year sentence, of which he must serve at least nine years in jail.
Dempster was also made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and must sign the sex offenders' register for life.
The fiend had pleaded guilty to sexual assault on a child under 13, misconduct in a public office and six counts of making indecent images of children.
Deputy Chief Constable Terry Woods said: “I am angry and appalled at this abhorrent abuse of responsibility and trust. We commend the bravery of this young victim for coming forward. We apologise to her family and know nothing will ever undo the harm Dempster has caused to his victims.
“Dempster represents the very worst of society. He is not a police officer; he is a child sex offender, a criminal, and he has no right to be near police uniform or serve the public. Dempster was rightfully arrested and charged before he could ever work in our communities again.
“We have thoroughly reviewed Dempster’s vetting and can confidently say there was nothing to remotely suggest he had a sexual interest in children. He was a man with a career in public service and his record showed no signs of warning.

“Dempster is a depraved exception who we have wasted no time in dismissing and disowning.
“The thousands of officers he has let down are committed to the protection of children in Oldham and Greater Manchester, and anyone who undermines this priority has no place in GMP.”
