MYSTERY 'KIDNAP'

Witness reveals chilling last sighting of ‘young’ girl bundled into car two days ago – sparking desperate search

The girl was seen being followed by a car containing several people before the attack

A WITNESS to the "kidnap" of a young girl has revealed the last sighting of the teen before she was bundled into a car two days ago.

The 5ft5 girl, believed to be in her mid-to-late teens, was seen being followed by a car along a lane in the Somerset town of Wincanton.

Its driver then got out and chased the girl along the road - before she was forced into the vehicle which then drove off.

April Swan who runs The Millers Inn, just yards from where the incident took place, told how her CCTV cameras picked up images of a young girl walking past the pub at 10:24pm.

She said: "The girl had dark curly hair and looked very young to be out so late wearing only a t-shirt and jeans.

"I have two cameras outside the pub and they show her walking past the front door and then passing behind the bushes going onto The Batch.

"I told police about what I had seen but they were more interested in knowing if I had picked up any images of a car on my cameras.

"But there was nothing on there that showed a car going past.

"I’ve told them about the CCTV of the girl but they haven’t been round to view it."

Cops have launched an urgent hunt for the girl after the scenes at around 10.30pm on Tuesday.
