"Tim Walz looks gutted," one noted on X.
"Seeing Tim Walz's daughter crying like she was crushing my heart even more," another wrote.
However, others were quick to slam Walz's display.
"Tim Walz crying at Kamala's speech may be the most pathetic thing I've seen in this election," one X user bashed.
Another wrote, "[Tim] Walz is crying, man we really dodged a bullet with this one. This is incredibly unsettling."
Walz didn't speak during the event, leaving Harris to address her supporters alone as she promised to keep fighting for America.
Harris appeared to choke up during the speech as she spoke about her gratitude for her team and her supporters during the campaign, which began just months ago when President Joe Biden withdrew from the race.
Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, were notably absent from the speech.
The address came after Harris called Trump and conceded, asking him for a peaceful transition of power.
She asked her supporters during the speech to accept the election results.
"Earlier today, I spoke with President-elect Trump and congratulated him on his victory," she said.
When Harris mentioned Trump's name, the crowd erupted in boos.
"I also told him that we will help him and his team with their transition and that we will engage in a peaceful transfer of power," Harris added.
OBAMAS SHARE STATEMENT
While Biden was absent from the concession speech, former President Barack Obama shared a statement after spending multiple weeks on the campaign trail with Harris.
"This is obviously not the outcome we had hoped for, given our profound disagreements with the Republican ticket on a whole host of issues," the statement from Barack and Michelle Obama said.
"But living in a democracy is about recognizing that our point of view won’t always win out, and being willing to accept the peaceful transfer of power."
