Mystery over ‘unexplained’ death of ‘loving mum & daughter’, 47, found dead at home as cops launch probe
POLICE have launched a probe into the mysterious death of a "loving mum and daughter" who was found dead in her home.
Tributes have poured in for Mary Lewis, 47, who died at a property in Carmarthenshire last Friday.
Officers confirmed they are now investigating her death which they are treating as "unexplained".
A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "We received a call reporting concerns for the welfare of a woman at an address in Laugharne at just before 11.20am on Friday, October 18.
"Sadly the woman passed away at the property.
"Her next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this time.
"The death is being treated as unexplained and the coroner has been informed."
Mary's family paid tribute to her, revealing that she was loved by everyone in the community and will be deeply missed.
They added: "Our funny loving mother and daughter who lit up a room.
"Mary was well-known in Laugharne and Carmarthen and will be sadly missed by everyone."
