Brit tourist, 34, seriously injured in 50ft plunge after ‘falling backwards over wall’ on night out in Magaluf resort
A BRITISH tourist has been left seriously injured after falling backwards down a 50-foot embankment in Majorca, Spain.
The 34-year-old woman had been on a boozy night out in Magaluf when she fell from a wall she was resting on after a taxi ride.
The woman was drunk when she fell off the wall in Cala Vinyas on Tuesday night, according to local reports.
The woman who has not been named was rescued by police and firefighters who had trouble accessing her due to the terrain.
She was rushed to a private hospital in Palma where her injuries were assessed.
A picture from the rescue showed the woman in a neckbrace lying on a stretcher as medics and the police surrounded her.

After repeated deaths and accidents caused by boozy Brits abroad, some tourist hotspots are hitting back.
On Monday, officials in Prague announced that organised pub crawls would be banned in the city as it seeks "more cultured" visitors.
The ban is effective between 10 pm and 6 pm and targets those travelling to the city for cheap, booze-filled revelry, often involving half-naked women and other forms of adult entertainment.
Long-suffering locals living in the capital of the Czech Republic have repeatedly made complaints about excessive noise while also raising concerns about their safety.
Ibiza and Majorca have also enforced alcohol bans between certain hours in stag-do and tourist hotspots known for excessive drinking.
The sale of alcohol is banned between 9:30 pm and 8 am in "excessive tourism" areas like Palma and Magaluf in Majorca and San Antonio in Ibiza.
Party boats are also banned from sailing within one nautical mile of these areas and cannot pick up or disembark passengers.
