Cops probing M6 crash which killed 2 children, woman & man fear car ‘driving WRONG WAY’ down M6 sparked horror

COPS are investigating whether a car was travelling the wrong way down the M6 killing two children, a woman and a man.

A Skoda and a Toyota were involved in the horror collision on the M6 northbound, near Tebay Services, at around 4.04pm yesterday.

Cumbria Police is understood to be probing whether the Skoda was travelling the wrong way along the motorway.

It comes after the force confirmed the driver of the Skoda, a man from Cambridgeshire, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A third child, who was in the Toyota, was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle with serious injuries.

A statement from the force also said the families of those involved are being supported by specially trained officers.

The M6 northbound fully reopened in the early hours of this morning.

Cops are now appealing for witnesses following the horrific motorway crash.
