Dramatic CCTV footage shows woman jumping free from the boot of a moving car after being robbed, kidnapped and forced into the trunk
Police say she was targeted by cashpoint crooks looking to empty her bank account
A WOMAN’S daring escape after being kidnapped by armed men and forced into the boot of a car has all been caught on tape.
Police in Alabama said the woman was walking up to her apartment when an unknown man approached her, pulled out a gun, and demanded money.
Other men are believed to have been inside the black saloon car.
The victim told the men she didn’t have any money, so they allegedly forced her to get back into her car, eventually forcing her to get in the trunk.
The victim told officers that she was driven to multiple unknown places while in the trunk, assuming the suspects were using her card to get money.
When they drove to a gas station, the victim was able to open the trunk and jump out, just as the driver was pulling out of the parking lot.
The gas station owner said the suspects had juts tried to use the woman’s credit card to withdraw money from an ATM.
After they are unable to get any money, the trunk is seen popping open as the vehicle drives away and the woman jumps out.
The owner of the station says after that she dashed inside and they called the police.
No arrests have been made as police continue to investigate.
The victim, 25, suffered minor injuries when she jumped out of the car, according to news reports in the US.
Police are still searching for the suspects and have circulated an image of one man based on the gas station’s surveillance footage.
