THE BRITISH former spy who drew up a lurid dossier on President Trump has spoken out for the first time since its publication.
Christopher Steele said he is back working at London-based intelligence firm Orbis, adding he would "focus" his efforts on supporting the company.
The ex-MI6 spook and Russian espionage expert had passed over a document he drew up on then President-elect Trump to his Republican rivals in July 2016.
Parts were later leaked and published in January by click-bait site Buzzfeed before quickly making headlines worldwide.
The widely discredited allegations included claims of sex parties in Russia and coordination between the President-elect’s team and the Russian government.
Steele was forced into hiding, with sources close to him saying that he was "horrified” when his identity was revealed.
But breaking his cover on Thursday, Steele, 52, said: "I'm really pleased to be back here working again at the Orbis's offices in London today.
"I'm now going to be focusing my efforts on supporting the broader interests of our company here.
He added: "I'd like to say a warm thank you to everyone who sent me kind messages and support over the last few weeks.
"I won't be making any further statements or comments at this time", he said outside his central London offices.
Steele’s alleged 35-page report consists of memos compiled before and after the November 8 election.
It includes unverified claims that Trump let prostitutes perform “perverted sexual acts” in a Moscow hotel room once used by President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle.
A furious Trump later let rip at a press conference following the report’s coverage, slamming it as “fake news”.
