THE Frenchwoman allegedly drugged by her husband and raped by scores of men while unconscious has revealed the agonising moment cops showed her pictures of the terror.

Gisele Pelicot, 72, gave evidence at the Avignon trial in France this week, laying bare the torment of police showing her the horror images.

Gisele saw husband Dominique as a "caring" and "super guy" - until she was summoned to a police office in 2020.

Cops launched a probe into retiree Dominique that year after he was caught trying to film up girls' skirts in a supermarket.

Police then uncovered photos and footage of Gisele unknowingly being raped in thousands of files - as many as 20,000, cops say - stored by Dominique.

Recounting her unexpected meeting with police, she told court a cop said: "I am going to show you things that will not please you."

Gisele became frightened as a photo was shown.

Gisele said: "I didn't have glasses on.

"I didn't recognise the woman on the bed."

But the cop told her to "look carefully", the court heard.

Gisele said: "The scenes were unbearable.

"At the third photo, I said, 'Stop, these are scenes of rape. I am asleep, inert and I am being raped'. I was in a state of shock.

Wife 'drugged by husband so men could rape her' feared she had Alzheimer's

"My world fell apart. Everything I had built ... all collapsed."

Gisele said she was "sacrificed at the altar of vice".

She continued: "When you see this woman, drugged, abused ... it was as though I was dead.

"All these men ... treated me like a bin bag."

Dominique has already admitted to drugging his wife, as well as inviting more than 70 men to rape her over a decade-long period between 2011-2020.

He had been sneaking tranquillisers into her food and drink before recruiting men off twisted adult sites, prosecutors have said.

Some of the men - 50 of them are seated in the dock with Dominique - admit the crime, while others deny it.

They are facing charges of aggravated rape.

Some have suggested they thought they were simply playing along with a dark fantasy.

Gisele had back at this while giving evidence during the week.

She said: "I am absolutely not an accomplice.

"They raped me knowing full well what they were doing."

THE 'ABUSE' FILES

Dominique compiled a folder named "abuse" featuring more than 20,000 pictures and videos of his unconscious wife being raped, prosecutors say.

And within the dossier were sub-folders dedicated to each man who allegedly came along to take part in the horror.

Prosecutor Jeremie Bosse Platiere said retiree Dominique Pelicot, 71, named all the files within the "abuse" folder based on nicknames for each of the men, like "Chris the fireman", "Quentin", "Gaston" and "David the Black".

The files helped cops track down the suspects in question.

Dominique faces up to 20 years in prison if found guilty following his trial at Vaucluse Criminal Court in Avignon.

DAUGHTER REVEALS AGONY

Caroline Darian, 46, spoke in court Friday as she slammed dad Dominique Pélicot for tearing their "perfect" family apart after the sick accusations came to light.

Brave Caroline took to the stand and described her father "one of the greatest sexual predators" of all time.

She also revealed the shocking moment her mum first told her of the harrowing ordeal.

Caroline said: "On November 2, 2020, at 8:35 p.m. my life literally changed.

"My mother told me, 'I spent a good part of the day at the police station, your father was drugging me to rape me with strangers'."

She said: "We were helpless, we cried, we didn't understand."
