A BRITISH man has been found dead at a popular holiday resort in Cyprus.
The 87-year-old was discovered in the sea after going for a swim in Coral Bay, Paphos, on Friday.
He was found floating unconscious after heading out in the water at around 1.30pm.
Other holidaymakers pulled him from the water and called an ambulance.
He was rushed to hospital where doctors declared him dead, Cyprus Mail reports.
It is not clear whether he was at the beach alone or there with relatives or friends.
Coral Bay is a favoured spot for holidaymakers in Peyia, north of Paphos.
The coastline there typically has rocky headlands and large sea caves, popular with visitors.
Another British tourist was found dead in his hotel room in Cyprus just days ago.
The unidentified 30-year-old holidaymaker was found unconscious in Ayia Napa.
He was rushed to Famagusta General Hospital but pronounced dead.
Local police ruled out crime and state pathologist Aggeliki Papetta made no findings in a post-mortem, according to local reports.
