GEORGE Michael's ex boyfriend  Fadi Fawaz has hit out after a coroner revealed his lover died of natural causes brought on by heart and liver problems.

Fadi reactivated his Twitter account, deleted earlier this week, to post "f*** you" followed by a second tweet saying "the truth is out" accompanied by a photo of the couple.

Darren Salter, senior coroner for Oxfordshire, today revealed that the musical legend suffered from dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver.

In a statement the coroner said: "Inquires into the death of George Michael have been concluded and the final post-mortem report received.

"As there is a confirmed natural cause of death, being dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver, the investigation is being discontinued and there is no need for an inquest or any further enquiries."

The Careless Whisper singer died on Christmas Day aged 53, at his Oxfordshire home.

The singer was discovered by Fadi on Christmas morning when he went to wake him to celebrate the holiday together.

In a statement he would later say: "We were supposed to be going for Christmas lunch. I went round there to wake him up and he was just gone, lying peacefully in bed."

An earlier post-mortem had come back as "inconclusive" with police saying his death was "unexplained but not suspicious".

But, today the cause of death was announced, providing the singer's family and loyal fans with answers.

The singer was suffering from dilated cardiomyopathy - a disease of the heart muscle, myocarditis - inflammation in or around the heart and fatty liver disease.

Michael's boyfriend Fadi Fawaz reactivated his Twitter account after the news was announced.

He and George first met in 2009 and remained together up until George's death on Christmas Day.

But The Sun exclusively revealed that the singer's family has banned Fadi from attending his funeral.

Fadi denied the ban and hit back at critics who have doubted his love for the late singer.

His third tweet after the announcement read: "All the nasty comments, press and 999 were very cruel and unnecessary whatsoever, Now I hope to receive some real LOVE x."

What is dilated cardiomyopathy?

Dilated cardiomyopathy is a disease of the heart muscle, that causes it to become stretched and thin.
It means you're unable to pump blood around your body properly.
In some cases the condition is inherited, but it can also be triggered by viral infections, uncontrolled high blood pressure and excessive alcohol consumption.
Symptoms include:
- shortness of breath
- swelling of the ankles and tummy
- excessive tiredness
- palpitations

WHAT IS MYOCARDITIS?

Myocarditis is inflammation of the middle layer of the heart wall.
It can affect the heart muscle and the heart's electrical system - and can prove fatal.
It's typically caused by a viral infection, and symptoms include chest pain, fatigue, heart failure and an abnormal heart beat.
If it becomes severe it can weaken the ability of the heart to pump blood.
And blood clots can form, which can result in a heart attack or stroke.
In mild cases, the condition can have no apparent symptoms.
You may just feel ill and a bit under the weather.
But, in serious cases, common signs include:
- chest pain
- rapid or abnormal heart beat
- shortness of breath
- swelling of your legs, ankles and feet
- fatigue
- other signs of the viral infection, including headache, body aches, joint pain and a fever

Earlier this week Michael's ex-boyfriend Kenny Goss claimed the singer’s body had just “given up”.

Kenny Goss, George’s partner of 15 years, revealed he flew to the UK from Texas to comfort the singer’s family.

Kenny, 58, said: “I think his body just gave up. All these years, it was just weak."

Michael’s dad Kyriacos Panayiotou was reportedly “devastated” that investigations delayed a traditional swift Greek Orthodox burial.

After the singer's death his army of loyal fans left piles of tributes outside his homes in Oxfordshire and London.

One note left in the sea of tributes and flowers read: “Rest in peace. You are a beautiful soul who shone a bright light in this world.”

After the singer's death details of secret acts of generosity were revealed, including a £99,000 donation to an African Aids charity he heard about on Deal or no Deal.

Since his death stars including Adele, Coldplay and Robbie Williams have publicly paid tribute to George Michael.
