DONALD Trump has given a heartfelt tribute to The Queen in his new book - which The Sun can exclusively reveal.

The former President wrote that ‘she made me happy’ next to a photo of him laughing with the late monarch.

The image was taken on Mr Trump’s state visit to the UK in 2019 and shows him sitting next to Her Majesty at a banquet in his honour.

It appears in ‘Save America’, a coffee table book of ‘iconic moments’ from the Trump administration, which is out next week.

Mr Trump recently complained about a new biography of the Queen which said she thought Mr Trump was ‘very rude’.

The Republican Presidential candidate said the claims, by author Craig Brown, were ‘totally false’ and that Mr Brown was a ‘sleaze bag’.

In the book, Mr Trump writes: ‘They said I made the Queen happy and I said: 'No, she made me happy!'

Elsewhere in ‘Save America’, Mr Trump laments that Boris Johnson is ‘no longer in government’.

The former Prime Minister is one of a number of people who appear in a photo of the G7 meeting of world leaders in France in 2019.

Mr Trump says that the ‘world changes so much’ and most of those at the table are out of office.

They include former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe who Mr Trump calls ‘one of my closest friends’.

Despite their public clashes, Mr Trump has kind words for former German chancellor Angela Merkel and calls her a 'good woman'.

He wrote: 'While people thought I didn't get along with her, I did very much get along with her.

‘She was a strong leader who made two mistakes on energy and allowing in more than one million aliens (migrants) into Germany.

‘Germany paid a big price for both, but she's a good woman.'

In the book Mr Trump defends his 2018 meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and said that 'he would never have tried anything with me!'

Mr Trump claimed the two men had an 'understanding' and that Mr Putin would never have invaded Ukraine if he was President.

In front of a picture of Mr Trump at a meeting of NATO world leaders, he writes that 'the future belongs to patriots'.

But Mr Trump has strong words for Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and says he will jail him for the rest of his life he he interferes with the election in November.

The book is $99 (£76) and proceeds go to the Trump campaign.
