The incident comes days after three cops were hurt in an attack at Manchester airport.
The incident happened after patrol officers inspected an abandoned motor in an "unauthorised space" in Terminal 2 at 7.15am August 22.
Three unarmed officers were assaulted and left with injuries, Greater Manchester Police said.
The injured officers were a woman and two men, The Sun understands.
The alleged assault on police is the second in two months at the airport, which serves nearly 30 million people every year.
Chaos previously unfolded at Manchester Airport in a separate incident in July where three cops were injured.
Videos of the incident went viral online which saw cops attacked and a man kicked in the face.
