Sun-loving grandad returns to the same Lanzarote hotel 79 times – and he even stays in the same ROOM
Eric Willson travels between two and four times a year to relax at his favourite Spanish getaway
SUN-lover Eric Willson has been back to the same Lanzarote hotel 79 times – staying in the same room.
Eric, 71, has spent around £80,000 on room 0164 at the four star Hotel Hesperia in the resort of Playa Blanca.
He first went to the hotel in 1991 and now travels there between two and four times a year to relax on Lanzarote’s beaches and party in the karaoke bars.
Eric said: “The first time I went they put me in room 0164 and from then on it just became my room.
“I think I have stayed in room 0165 once or twice but it is right next door so I still had the same views.
“The staff at the hotel are brilliant and I have become good friends with lots of people in the resort.
“People ask me why I go to the same place all the time but for me it is a home from home.”
Eric, a former male model from Romford, Essex, works as a mental health support worker to fund his trips and prefers to holiday alone.
