Man in 30s hit and killed by Tesla at seaside hotspot as driver arrested
A MAN in his 30s has been killed after being hit by a Tesla yards from a popular beach.
The pedestrian died at the scene after being struck by the EV in South Beach Parade, Great Yarmouth, at around 9.43pm on Tuesday.
The driver of the white Tesla Model 3, a man in his 20s, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He remains in custody.
The road was closed for nearly five hours as emergency services worked at the scene.
A spokesman for Norfolk Police said: "Police appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Great Yarmouth.

"The incident happened on Tuesday, August 27, at 9.43pm on South Beach Parade when a white Tesla Model 3 collided with a pedestrian.
"The road was closed whilst emergency services attended the scene including ambulance.
"The pedestrian, a man aged in his 30s, sadly died as a result of his injuries.
"The driver of the Tesla, a man aged in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remains."
