Driver hunted after stopping to pick up wallet packed full of cash and not handing it in
THIS is the moment a mystery woman drives off with a small business owner's wallet containing £1,600.
CCTV filmed a driver in a red top stopped in the middle of the road to pick up the cash before speeding off.
But despite a police investigation, nobody has stepped forward to give music shop owner Clive Fokes, 66, his money back.
Clive was on his way to deposit his shop's January earnings at the bank when he stopped off to have a gas canister refilled at Dormer Plant Hire in Redditch, Worcestershire.
The footage shows him returning to his car at around 11:45am on January 26 and opening his boot.
As he closes it again, his wallet falls from his pocket, but he does not notice and drives off.
A minute later, a silver Vauxhall Corsa drives over his wallet before abruptly halting in the middle of traffic.
The driver, a woman with a red top, dark trousers and long blonde hair, puts her hazard lights on.
After waiting for the rest of the traffic to clear, reverses back and retrieves the wallet.
She then drives off with her hazard flashers still on and has not since reported her find to police.
Andrew lost his wallet and earnings, as well as his driver's licence and all his cards.
Clive, who runs Courtyard Music in Tardebigge, Worcs, said: "It had £1,600 in it, and I'm sure I won't see that again.
"I'm past the stage of feeling stupid about it and now I'm just extremely angry.
Clive added: "I can't believe it wasn't handed in. If you find a fiver on the street you might think it's your lucky day and keep it.
West Mercia Police launched a theft investigation, but Clive claims it has since ceased.
