Major incident at Skegness Pleasure Beach as ride malfunctions leaving terrified visitors trapped in the air
Police have released an update on the health of those involved
A THEME park ride malfunctioned leaving terrified visitors stuck in the air in a "major incident".
Cops said they rushed to Skegness Pleasure Beach in Lincolnshire on Tuesday afternoon and were attempting to "rescue" the people on the ride.

Other emergency services were also in attendance.
No one was seriously injured, cops said.
It is understood people on the ride - reported to be Super Trooper - began being removed around 5pm on Tuesday, an estimated two hours after the issue started.
Police later confirmed around 8pm: "We are pleased to report that everyone has been safely rescued and there are no serious injuries.

The ride opened earlier this year.
It spins passengers in carriages around a central wheel through the air, with their feet left dangling below the seats.
Chris Crehan told The Sun it's not the first time the new attraction has broken down in recent days.

He said: "We were on holiday there last week and this ride broke down on Thursday while we were queuing up to go on it."
He added that it took around 10 minutes to mend that time.
Chris said: "Also the roller coaster broke down on Saturday while people were on it."
Bottons took over the site in 1965 and it features roller coasters and classic rides.

A spokesperson for Skegness Police initially said: "We are attending an incident at Skegness Pleasure Beach where a ride has malfunctioned and remains suspended in the air with a number of people stuck on the ride.
"Fire and ambulance are also attending.
"We ask members of the public to please avoid the area whilst emergency services work together to ensure the safety of the people on the ride whilst they are being rescued.
