A boy was also taken to hospital as a precaution. The two children were with a family member at the time of the crash.

The male driver of the bus was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving and drug-driving.

He has been bailed to a date in early November pending further enquiries.

Ada lived in the area with her family and attended a local primary school.

She also attended a Turkish school in south-east London. She was a Turkish-British national.

She was a keen gymnast and swimmer.

Ada's family have shared two pictures, including one that shows her having had her hair cut for donation.

Her family have said that following her death, Ada's organs were donated to help six other children. She will have a multi-faith funeral.

Her family are being supported by specialist officers, and have requested that their privacy is respected.

The police investigation into the collision continues and police still want to hear from witnesses.

At 9.05am on Saturday, August 3, police were called to reports of a bus in collision with two children in Watling Street near the junction with Halcot Avenue.

Ada was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service with life-threatening injuries.

Despite the best efforts of medical staff, she sadly died in the afternoon of Monday, August 5.
