Disney Channel star Skai Jackson arrested after ‘pushing boyfriend several times’ at Universal CityWalk

Jackson, 22, was reportedly arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery, cited, and released a few hours later.

She told the website that the couple were happily engaged and expecting a baby together.

The case is to be reviewed by the L.A. County District Attorney's Office.

The U.S. Sun has contacted the district attorney for further comment and updates on the case, and whether it intends to press charges.

Police were called to Universal CityWalk after security allegedly spotted Jackson pushing her boyfriend more than once, sources claimed.

"While inside the Universal Studios Theme Park, a domestic incident occurred involving Skai Jackson. Based on the initial investigation, it was determined Ms. Jackson was the primary aggressor and was arrested for misdemeanor Spousal Battery," the Los Angeles Sheriff Department told The U.S. Sun.

Security was claimed to have seen the alleged altercation and then detained the pair, according to TMZ.

Deputy sheriffs looked at video footage of the alleged incident and then arrested Jackson.

The star's manager and agent have been contacted for comment.

Deputy Tracy Koerner, from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, told The U.S. Sun that West Hollywood deputies responded to 1000 Universal Studios Blvd regarding an alleged domestic violence call.

They attended the alleged incident at 5:00 pm last Friday, August 9.

Two people were "being detained by security personnel," upon the deputies' arrival, Koerner added.

A woman was "arrested without incident," she said.

CHILD STAR

Jackson has gradually transitioned within the movie industry from a child actress.

Born on April 8, 2002, in Staten Island, New York, Jackson starred in commercials for major brands such as Coca-Cola and Pepsi when she was a child.

She has also starred in music videos during her varied career.

However, the actress is best known for her role as the adorable Zuri Ross on Disney Channel's hit sitcom Jessie, starring Debbie Ryan.

Jackson reprised the role for the Jessie spin-off show Bunk'd.

But her first big break in the acting world was in the 2007 independent film Liberty Kid at just nine years old.

Time listed her as one of the Most Influential Teens in 2016, as a result of her stellar performances.

In 2018, she was given a voice role as Glory Grant in the Marvel animation series.

Jackson also joined the celebrity cast of  Dancing With The Stars in 2020 with pro dance partner Alan Bersten, and the pair made it to the semi-finals.

But, fans were outraged when Jackson was sent home in a shocking elimination.

This happened despite the star receiving her first perfect score.

DWTS fans took to Twitter to slam the judges' decision, with one person writing: "That really sucks. I really think Skai's partner caused her to lose. She deserved a better partner."

The star is also popular on YouTube, boasting 1.58 million subscribers.

She shares expert advice on shopping, skincare, and makeup.

Jackson also starred in Lil Nas X’s viral music video for his track Panini.
