A MUM gave birth in the bra section of a John Lewis — and wants to name her baby after the department store.
Karisma Webster was shopping with her mum when her waters broke in the underwear aisle.
The hotel worker, 32, said: “I wasn’t due for another six days so it was a bit of a surprise.
"We told one of the ladies that worked in that section and she asked if we needed an ambulance. I was in total shock, but the John Lewis ladies took me into a changing room and cordoned it off.
“Then I started having contractions but there was still no sign of the paramedics.
“Some other ladies who worked at the store came, and luckily one was an ex-midwife.

“Then one of the ladies said ‘Oh gosh, it looks like you are going to have a baby in John Lewis’. The paramedics finally arrived and she was born.”
Karisma, who gave birth to 6lb 3oz Cali-Blu-Rose, was wheeled out of the store in Solihull, West Mids, last month — with Chanel and Dior goodies gifted to her by the staff.
The mum of five, from Birmingham, says she will give her the middle names “John Lewis”.
Delighted Karisma added: “Apparently she is the first ever baby born in a John Lewis.

“It’s an amazing story to tell her when she is older.
“They even gave Cali-Blu-Rose her first outfit — you don’t get Chanel on the NHS.”
A John Lewis spokeswoman said: “Our partners were overjoyed to be part of such a special moment and we send our very best wishes to mum and baby.”
