Major Simon Robinson search update as worried family of missing Brit confirm he FAILED to catch connecting flight home
His friend earlier revealed where his phone was last active
THE family of a missing Brit have revealed he disappeared after failing to board a connecting flight into the UK.
Simon Robinson, 27, hasn't been heard from since he was on a solo trip in Thailand.

The Lincolnshire lad jetted into the Southeast Asian nation on July 22 initially planning to stay until August 3, friends and family have said.
But he phoned his girlfriend on July 26 from Bangkok to let her know he was cutting short the trip to come home early.
Family and pals haven't heard from Simon since.
It was first feared that he never got on his flight out of Thailand, igniting fears he had vanished somewhere in the Bangkok streets.

But family then received information from a man claiming to be a Thai immigration officer, which indicated Simon took a Bangkok-Helsinki Finnair flight.
Friend Demi Guttesen then found Simon was last active on his phone around the same time the flight to Helsinki would have landed.
With the search focus suddenly shifting 5,000 miles up to the Arctic Circle, the case appeared even more mysterious.
Now family say Simon flew to Helsinki to then board a connecting flight to Manchester.

Sister Sarah Robinson Dale wrote on Facebook: "We now know he boarded the flight to Helsinki on July 26th but he did not take the connecting flight to Manchester."
Pal Demi earlier said: "Simon’s whereabouts are still unknown and he is still very much missing.

"But now the focus is on Helsinki, Finland where his connecting flight would have landed at the time he was last active on his social media.
"If anyone has any connections in Helsinki or Finland please let me know."
Family have not revealed any theories as to why Simon would have flown to Finland but then not into the UK.
Simon's sister Sarah earlier indicated she was in talks with the British embassy in Finland.
She also slammed cops in the UK and Thailand, accusing them of not helping.
She said: "A massive thank you to everyone that has shared and the kind people that have found this information out as the authorities at both sides haven’t done anything.
"I am waiting for a call back from the police and embassy in Helsinki."
A report was lodged with South Yorkshire police, who instructed the family to get in contact with Thai authorities, but that was when it was believed Simon was still in Bangkok.

August 7: Family confirm he was supposed a catch a connecting flight from Helsinki to Manchester, but never did
The Foreign Office didn't comment on Simon specifically, simply saying it stood ready to help any Brit abroad.
It was only weeks ago that another Western traveller vanished in mysterious circumstances after a trip to Thailand.
Kieran James Cramer, 28, wasn't seen or heard from for two weeks before his father flew into Bangkok to find him.
When Kieran was found, his dad still didn't know the circumstances behind the disappearance, saying his son wasn't speaking.
Another Brit vanished in Sardinia in July.
Michael Frison, 25, was said to have left his home on the Italian island "undressed" before disappearing, according to his worried mum.
