Shock moment hammer-wielding man smashes driver’s car window in middle of a junction in road rage row

SHOCKING dash-cam footage captured the moment a man smashed a driver's back window with a hammer in an intense road rage row.
The video, which has since gone viral, shows a tradesman taking two swipes at a BMW's rear window completely destroying the glass.

At the start of the footage, the driver of the BMW appears to get out of his car, open the boot and reach for a bag.
He's then seen running over to a tradesman, who's standing in front of his van, and engage in a heated exchange.
With his hand still in the bag, the BMW driver appears to strike the unsuspecting tradesman over the head and sprint back to his car.
However, the tradesman opens the side door of his van to pick up a tool.

Moments later, he's captured sprinting over to the parked BMW armed with a hammer.
The driver desperately tried to drive off but wasn't quick enough to escape the tradesman's wrath.
The dramatic dash-cam footage shows the armed handyman flying into view and smashing the BMW's rear window.
The BMW lurches forward a couple of inches before the tradesman walks off still tightly gripping the hammer.

The incident happened yesterday in front of stunned pedestrians in the middle of a busy London junction.
It is unclear what started the row between the two.

The footage was shared on X, formerly Twitter, with the caption: "This is why you never argue with a tradesman in traffic in London."
It has since been viewed over 95,000 times and has received hundreds of likes and comments.
One user commented: "Roadrage is crazy.
"People really fighting each other's cars and not each other."
A confused viewer asked: "I don't get it. What did he put in the guy's van?"
A user responded: "Nothing, he lumped him over the skull with a hammer, put the hammer back in his bag and then into his own boot."
The Sun has approached the Met Police for comment.
