A BRAZILIAN bodybuilder has tragically died from a heart attack while taking part in a competition.
Antônio Leso Brás de Souza was treated by doctors at the scene but could not be saved.
His wife, Yone Farias, and others, later confirmed he’d suffered a heart attack.
Shortly before the competition, which took place in São Paulo, De Souza shared a video of him on social media.
The optimistic bodybuilder told his fans: "All right, folks, off to the weigh-in. God willing, everything will go well.
"We’re lean, right? I think you can tell from my face."

His body will be flown back to his home city, Manaus, today (6 Aug) for a funeral and burial.
The bodybuilder's heartbroken wife posted a video of him grinning and flexing for the camera.
She wrote in the post: "This is how I will remember you, my love.
“Rest in peace. Although life has ended, my love for you will last forever.

De Souza boasted more than 9,000 followers on Instagram.
He used to share his gruelling workouts, snaps of his muscular and tattooed physique and clips of his wife.
The muscleman had written in his bio that he’d won several trophies between 2020 and 2022.
