ECO idiots this morning tried to block off the security gates at Heathrow Airport in their third attempt to cause chaos for Brit holidaymakers.

Just Stop Oil protesters could be seen holding their bright orange signs, trying to form a line in front of the departure gates at the busy London airport.

There appeared to be a backlog of unhappy families waiting to get through to security at Terminal 5.

The eco idiots planted themselves on the ground in front of the gates before being hauled away by cops.

Met Police said seven people were dragged away after about 20 minutes and arrested.

The force said: "Seven Just Stop Oil protesters have been arrested on suspicion of public order offences after they blocked a passenger search area at Terminal 5, Heathrow.

"Officers swiftly attended and removed the protesters with minimal disruption caused."

A Heathrow spokesperson said: “Earlier this morning a protest incident in Terminal 5 was swiftly resolved and all involved were immediately removed from the airport.

"Unlawful and irresponsible protest activity is not the way forward and will not be tolerated.

"Our priority will always be to maintain the safety of passengers and colleagues, and we'll continue to work closely with our partners and the police in taking proportionate action to protect travel plans this summer.”

It comes just days after the group sprayed orange paint all over Heathrow's departure terminal before planting themselves on the ground.

On Tuesday, activists spray-painted windows, floors and departure boards in Terminal 5.

Another major airport targeted by Just Stop Oil hours after Gatwick hit

A pair of the eco-zealots were then snapped sitting in front of the boards, before more photos showed the protesters being dragged away by security.

The day before the group tried - and failed to - block off departure gates at Gatwick.

But instead of causing havoc, holidaymakers just stepped over the group.

Eight people were then arrested on suspicion of interfering with public infrastructure.

The stunts are part of a campaign by the group to target airports and disrupt holidays after steering its focus away from blocking roads.

Last week saw several Just Stop Oil members arrested in multiple countries in a crackdown on their holidays plot.

The eco-zealots had billed July 23 as an “international uprising” by seven groups under the banner “Oil Kills”.

But it ground to a halt after a series of police swoops.

In the aftermath, there were demands for authorities to throw the book at them to prevent a possible summer of chaos.

Other arrests came in Germany, Norway, FinlandSpainAustria and Switzerland.

The drama unfolded after Extinction Rebellion mastermind Roger Hallam and four others were jailed for up to five years earlier this month after The Sun exposed their campaign to block motorways in 2022.

It appeared to have been coordinated from the UK, with the press team behind Just Stop Oil pushing out a pre-planned release on behalf of the group.

The group named two of those arrested as Sally Davidson, a 36-year-old a hairdresser from Portland, Dorset, and Adam Beard, 55, a gardener from Stroud, Gloucestershire.
