7/7 London terror plot man given extra jail time for possessing explosive device plan

A MAN serving life for plotting a terror attack to coincide with the 7/7 London bombings’ tenth anniversary got three more years’ jail yesterday.

Mohammed Rehman, 26, who is serving at least 27 years, admitted possessing a recipe to make an explosive device.

The details were found on an A4 sheet in a search of Rehman’s cell at high-security Belmarsh.

Judge John Bevan QC made the sentence concurrent but said it should be considered by the Parole Board before Rehman is finally released, the Old Bailey heard.

Mr Bevan said: “The parole board should bear this offence in mind when eventually they come to consider whether you are suitable for release.
