Mum of missing strip club waitress Toni Anderson, 20, who vanished last month fears her daughter has abducted and forced into sex trafficking trade
Liz Anderson said her daughter was a 'beautiful and tremendous' person and the family were concerned for her safety
THE mother of a strip club waitress who went missing without a trace has revealed she thinks her daughter is a victim of human trafficking.
Toni Anderson was last seen on January 15 when she was at a gas station in Kansas City in the early hours of the morning.
It was moments later her cellphone "went dark" after she had sent a message to a friend saying: "I just got pulled over again", and her GPS failed.
Now her mother, Liz Anderson, says the family are convinced Toni was kidnapped and has been sold into the human sex trafficking trade.
She told the : "I believe she’s been taken, and I believe it’s human trafficking.
“They can’t find her. The Kansas City detectives have been amazing, but they’re perplexed.”
She also told the : "This just isn't like her, she wouldn't just disappear."
The family are "100 per cent certain" their daughter will be found and are poised to do everything they can to help her when she is returned.
Liz added: "I'd do anything for my girl, and so would her father."
Liz said previously to : "It's not like her. She's social. You pretty much always know where she's at.
"It's just been a horrible nightmare. And I know any parent going through this is just horrified.'Friends and family have been getting increasingly worried about Toni's safety since she went missing last month.
She was driving home from her part-time job in a bar when she was last seen.
She set off home at about 4am, but needed to refuel at a petrol station first.
But police then pulled her over.
Toni had been on her way to meet friends after finishing work at Chrome entertainment bar.
Her friend Roxanne Townsend said the message read: "OMG just just (sic) pulled over again" and added: "It was exactly 4:42 when she texted me and said, 'I just got pulled over again."
“She said 'again' because she gets pulled over all the time.
They have confirmed the stop and Darin Snapp from the Kansas City Police Department told : "We're talking to friends trying to find out exactly why she was in that area."
He added: "Improper lane change is what she was stopped for. She stated to the officer that she was almost out of gas. There's a QuikTrip real close."
Snapp said she was then directed to the gas station: "So the officer just told her, you know, 'there's a gas station right there,' gave her a warning for the violation, and watched her actually go to the QuikTrip and that's the last we have seen of her."
