'WE'VE ALL BEEN THERE'

Sainsbury’s shopper’s heartfelt thank you to stranger who gave her a comfort hug during child’s supermarket tantrum

The mum said she was telling off her daughter when a lady came up to her, put her hand on her shoulder, and gave her a "big hug"

A STRESSED-OUT mum has taken to Facebook to thank a stranger who gave her a hug during her child's emotional tantrum in Sainsbury's.

The mum was giving her daughter a telling off at the Castle Marina store, in Nottingham, this weekend when she was approached by a fellow shopper.

After being left in tears by the act of kindness at the supermarket, she shared the incident on a local Facebook page

The lady - a complete stranger - gave the mum a "big hug" and told her: "We have all been there".

After being left in tears by the act of kindness, she shared the incident on a local Facebook page.

And hundreds have shared sympathy with the mum.

One said: "I had the same on a bus once, really busy bus, my daughter started screaming in her pushchair but we were a few stops away from getting off and it was just too busy to get her out for a cuddle!

Hundreds have 'liked' the post, with many parents telling the mum they know what it is liked to have a child throwing a tantrum in a supermarket

"A lovely lady said to me that it was only me on the bus that was worried/bothered about my daughter crying and no one else should bat an eyelid...bit of reassurance goes a long way."

Another social media user added: "I love this!

"My toddler had a full on tantrum in vic centre once and someone thought it was appropriate to ask where the toilets were!

"I mean seriously; my child is going mental and you think I want to tell you where the toilets are?"
