MYSTERY surrounds the death of a man found in woodland alongside a mountain bike almost a week ago.
Police have been unable to identify the pensioner and are appealing to the public to help.
The man's body was found close to Ware, in Hertfordshire, just before 7.30am on Friday February 17.
Detective Inspector Anna Borella said: “The man’s death is not believed to be suspicious at this stage.
"However we are working to identify him and are releasing an image which has been created of him and a description in the hope that someone will know who he is.”
The man is described as white, about 65 to 70-years-old, approximately 5ft 7ins and of slim build.

He has grey/white hair, was clean shaven and wearing a dark waist-length jacket, with blue jeans and dark blue casual shoes.
He was in possession of a black and green mountain bike.
DI Borella added: “I’d ask anyone, who may know this man to make contact so that we can get in touch with his loved ones and inform them of what has happened.”
