IT'S a Mario Kart race - but in real life after a group of drivers used madcap 'weapons' to compete in a frenzied rally.
Nintendo fans donned Mario, Princess Peach and Luigi costumes to race against each other in busy Tokyo.
The racers were even armed with Mario Kart weapons as they took to the streets.
Bizarrely, Go Karts are classed as miniature carts in Japan so they can be driven on public roads alongside other vehicles.
Drivers aren't even required to wear a seatbelt or helmet but do need a standard license.
The Go Karts can legally travel at speeds of up to 37mph, and will go for about 60 miles on a full tank of petrol.
The race was created by Go-Kart company, Akiba Cart.
The shop's owner Daisaku Koyama was inspired by French prankster Remi Gaillard, who made a video depicting Mario Kart on real roads.
Daisaku said he wanted to start a safe service where you can ride unusual vehicle.
The Real-life Mario Kart race has now become a regular event, attracting fans and tourists from all around the world.
It comes as Nintendo announced Super Mario Odyssey as one of their Switch games for 2017.
