THE family of a baby girl who survived the horror road smash which killed her mum have thanked those who stopped to help.
Hannah Davies, 23, Inverbervie, Scotland, died when her car ran off the A92 Inverbervie to Kinneff road and landed in a field.
Miraculously, her 13-month-old daughter was found alive in the wreckage.
In a statement, Hannah’s family said: “We would like to thank the folk who stopped to try and help our daughter as well as the emergency services and the hospital.”
The child was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Sergeant Malcolm Kinross, Road Policing Unit, North East Division said:”First of all, I would say that all our thoughts are with the friends and family of Hannah at this utterly devastating time.
“I would like to thank everyone who assisted at the scene.
Police Scotland are now appealing for witnesses who saw Hannah’s black Nissan Note around the time of the incident.
Mr Kinross added: “Our investigation is still at an early stage and I am appealing for anyone who was aware of a black Nissan Note at around 10.50am on the A92 Inverbervie to Kinneff road, to contact the Police on 101”
