THIS is the chilling moment a knifeman pinned a female cop to the floor and laughed while slashing at her.
The "violent attack" with a Stanley knife was caught on the officer's bodycam.
6ft5 thug Gordon Finnlayson launched himself at two cops after they were called to a house following reports of an assault.
Police Scotland had passed on a report of a Scottish man having his face slashed by an acquaintance in Northampton to the local force.
As the two cops searched the house, 39-year-old Finnlayson arrived brandishing the Stanley knife and calmly said: "You're too late."
The officers told Finnlayson to drop the knife - but as they went to disarm him, he knocked the female cop to the floor.

Finnlayson then laughed as he tried to stab and slash the cop while her colleague tried to wrest the knife off him.
One of the cops is heard screaming: "Put the knife down! Put the knife down!"
He then repeatedly struck both cops and slammed them to the ground - hurling the second cop backwards out of the house.
When backup finally arrived, Finnlayson called one of the officers a "b****" before calmly walking outside.

Finnlayson was Tasered three times before he was handcuffed and bundled into a police van.
The thug carried on laughing as the details of his arrest were read out.
One of the officers is heard tearfully saying: "I don't know if I've been stabbed."
She added: "Please check if I've been stabbed. I'm so sorry, I just stepped back."
Both officers were rushed to hospital but luckily escaped serious physical injury.
Finnlayson, from Neilston in Glasgow, admitted two counts of Section 18 attempted wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He was jailed for six years at Northampton Crown Court last week following his conviction on April 24.
The court heard of Finnlayson had 35 previous convictions, including seven assaults on police officers.
BRUTE CAGED
Detective Inspector Nick Peters said: "These two officers showed incredible courage in the face of a violent and sustained attack.
"This man was not only armed and much larger than them, but also appeared to be enjoying trying to seriously hurt them.
"Finnlayson seemed to be trying to isolate the officers from one another so he could continue his assault without distraction.
"Without their determination and bravery in sticking together and protecting each other they could have been seriously or even fatally injured by him."
DI Peters added: "Police officers come to work not knowing what their shift will bring.
"Although they are trained and prepared to deal with violent incidents, this is the kind of job no-one ever wants to face.
"With the officers' agreement we have released their body-worn video from the incident.
"It shows just how unpredictable, violent and frightening Gordon Finnlayson was that night.
