Woman in her 50s arrested over ‘murder’ after man in his 40s is stabbed to death in quiet village
A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found stabbed to death inside a house.
Emergency services rushed to a property in Easterton, Wiltshire, shortly after 8pm on Tuesday.
But a man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.
A woman in her 50s has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody, police say.
The man and woman are understood to be known to each other.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: "A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder following an incident at an address in Easterton, near Devizes.

"Officers were called to the address shortly after 8pm on Tuesday evening following a report that a man had sustained stab wounds.
"The man, who is aged in his 40s, died at the scene. A woman in her 50s has been arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to Melksham custody for questioning.
"Both individuals are believed to be known to each other and we would like to reassure residents that we do not believe there to be a wider risk to the public.
"There will be a police presence in the area overnight while our investigation continues."
