SHOCKING footage has emerged showing US cops pepper spray a suspect who is strapped into a chair.

Charles Wade was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving in Dayton, Ohio, in October when the incident occurred.

Instead, one of the officers pepper-sprays him in the face from inches away.

The suspect wriggles and coughs, bringing one hand up to his face to cover his mouth as his cuffs are released.

But the officer sprays him again, causing even those restraining him to reel away and cough.

As his arms are strapped into the chair, Wade wheezes and says repeatedly: “I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe, help me please!”

But the police offer no help, with one simply telling him: “Don’t even think about it.”

Wade is now suing the sheriff’s department, claiming they used excessive force against him.
