Shocking moment drink-drive suspect is pepper-sprayed despite already being strapped into a chair
Charles Wade is suing cops in Dayton, Ohio, USA, over alleged use of excessive force during incident in October last year
SHOCKING footage has emerged showing US cops pepper spray a suspect who is strapped into a chair.
Charles Wade was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving in Dayton, Ohio, in October when the incident occurred.
Esrati said: “Remember, Wade’s legs and torso are secured to the chair, his hands are cuffed behind his back – Wade isn’t a threat.”
Instead, one of the officers pepper-sprays him in the face from inches away.
The suspect wriggles and coughs, bringing one hand up to his face to cover his mouth as his cuffs are released.
But the officer sprays him again, causing even those restraining him to reel away and cough.
As his arms are strapped into the chair, Wade wheezes and says repeatedly: “I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe, help me please!”
But the police offer no help, with one simply telling him: “Don’t even think about it.”
Wade is now suing the sheriff’s department, claiming they used excessive force against him.
